At Smartsheet, we’re passionate about removing complexities and making your work easier. With this release, we're excited to announce two new integrations that simplify work and make it easy to connect Smartsheet to your favorite web apps.
- Attach files directly from Dropbox to Smartsheet projects or tasks.
- Connect to hundreds of apps like Evernote, Paypal, and Salesforce through Zapier.
Smartsheet and Dropbox: A Collaborative Dream Come True
One of the biggest values of Smartsheet is the ability to access, manage, and share files inside shared project and process sheets. Our partnership with Dropbox is an exciting addition to the attachment integrations with Google Drive and Box, giving you even more options to attach files with your work.
Here, our design team shares how they use Smartsheet and Dropbox to collaborate.
With Dropbox, you and your team will know you’re collaborating on the current version of your files. You’ll be knocking down barriers to getting things done in no time:
- Store documents where they matter - inside your projects. With Dropbox files attached to rows in your sheets, you’ll never have to worry about outdated task attachments.
- Create your own powerful online hub. Use the tools you love without switching back and forth between multiple apps. It’s all at your fingertips, in one place.
- Hassle-free feedback loops. Easily collect and manage communication like feedback and approvals within your team. Simply send a row with a Dropbox file attached.
This is what happens when your head’s in the cloud – dreams do come true!Learn more about the Smartsheet / Dropbox integration.
Zapier – Connect Even More of Your Work
This past spring, Smartsheet announced the launch of our API. Exciting news, but if you’re on the non-technical side of things like me, there’s not much you can do with an API. Well, as mentioned above, we’re passionate about making work (and life!) easier. So, starting today, you can use Zapier to connect Smartsheet to hundreds of leading web apps - without writing a single line of code.
How does it work?
Zapier gives you the power to easily establish your own connections between web apps. When you do something in one app, it pushes information to another - according to "Triggers" and "Actions" you define.
Talk about a dream come true! Here are just a few examples of connections you can make between Smartsheet and other web apps in your arsenal:

We are thrilled about today's release and hope you are too. Let us know in the comments how you are connecting your favorite apps with Smartsheet to get work done!
Cheers,
Jenny
