New, improved contacts. Today marks the latest Smartsheet release. This time around, we put our focus on improved contact management in Smartsheet. After all, contacts and sharing are at the heart of online collaboration. Now it’s easier for you to find, add and manage your contacts.
What’s New in Contacts?
Contacts give you the power to collaborate, share sheets,
assign tasks, and remind about anything. With this release, you can:
- Add and edit contacts in more places. Easily add and modify contacts from a contact list, the Sharing form and sharing lists.
- Get to your team faster. For those of you on Team or Enterprise Plans, the contact list now resolves against your entire org list giving you faster access to your team.
- Select and share to multiple contacts. No need to type in email addresses, simply select multiple contacts from a list.

- Rockstar Tip: Update your profile name so that others can easily find you by first and last name. Find personal settings under Account -> Personal settings.
Also in this release:
- Embed shared sheets securely. Show your sheets in web pages like company wikis, blogs or client portals.
- View sheet properties. Quickly see details about your sheet like location and permissions.
